Regional Lead Clinical Network Nacer Mami presently serves as the Regional Lead for Clinical Network at MIT Jameel Clinic since December 2022. His primary objective is to establish a hospital network across the globe, fostering research collaborations between MIT Jameel Clinic and hospitals. His focus is on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to enhance patient health outcomes.
The MIT Jameel Clinic for Machine Learning in Health, a research center co-founded in 2018 by MIT and Community Jameel, develops artificial intelligence technologies for health, aiming to prevent, detect, and treat diseases at an early stage.
With 18 years of expertise in international pharmaceutical companies, including Novartis, AstraZeneca, and Pfizer, Nacer has extensive experience in medical operations and medical governance across the Africa and Middle East region.
Prior to his current role at Jameel Clinic, Nacer held the position of Global Medical Quality Governance Lead – Africa Middle East at Pfizer, based in Dubai.
Nacer holds a PhD in Medicine from the Algiers Faculty of Medicine. He is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
