OUR PARTNERS
Following a debilitating stroke, our late Founder, Mr. Abdul Latif Jameel, envisaged an accessible, non-profit rehabilitation center that would dramatically aid quality of life in Jeddah for the elderly. This state-of-the-art facility opened in 1997 – one of the first in Saudi Arabia – and in 2009, its success led to expansion to today’s Abdul Latif Jameel Rehabilitation Hospital.
The Hospital specializes in physical, psychological, and functional rehabilitation, including spinal cord injuries, strokes, paraplegia, and pediatric rehabilitation.
A not-for-profit enterprise, the Hospital covers 43,000 square meters of grounds, two-thirds of which consists of gardens as patients’ psychological wellbeing is seen as critical to their physical rehabilitation.
The Abdul Latif Jameel Hospital continuously works towards improving and expanding its services and was the first to introduce Cyberdyne’s Hybrid Assisted Limb® or HAL® therapy solution in the Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, becoming the regional center of excellence training facility for this technology.
